Tributes and Memorials
Recognizing active or past volunteers through tributes or memorializing the dedication of those who have passed away can be done by making a gift in the name of that person. A gift to Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council in memory of a loved one or friend or in honor of a special event such as birthday, wedding or Bronze, Silver or Gold Award is a lasting way to honor the people who have touched your life.
The council sends acknowledgements to both the donor and the individual or surviving relative for whom the tribute or memorial was made. The letter to honored persons or relatives mentions the occasion and the donor, but not the amount of the gift.
Each Bay Window will list tributes and memorials received since the previous issue. The Honor Your Leader tribute will be featured in every Bay Window and will now be called Honor Your Volunteer.
