Product Program Overview

GSCB's Product Programs are designed to build Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, Junior and Teen Girl Scouts of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place by discovering, connecting and taking action.

GSCB offers two Product Programs: the Girl Scout Cookie Program (January - March) and the Fall Product Program (October). Girl participation is voluntary, with each family making an informed choice.

Why Product Programs?

The primary purpose of the Product Programs is to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Girls taking part in Product Program activities learn first hand the value of making plans and setting goals. They invest their time and energy and, in the process, earn money for their Girl Scout troops. Those resources can then be spent to carry out their troop plans, or they can be saved for furture Girl Scout activities.

When selling Girl Scout products, girls also learn the 5 Skills for Girls that will serve them their entire life and help to make them successful in everything they do.

The 5 Skills for Girls are: 5 skills

· Goal Setting

· Decision Making

· Money Management

· People Skills

· Business Ethics

In addition to these direct benefits to individual girls, their troops and service units also benefit. These activities help to provide many of the resources needed by GSCB to offer program events, learning opportunities, camping experiences for girls, education sessions for Girl Scout volunteers and so much more for every girl in Girl Scouting. Every day GSCB uses its resources wisely to help girls to discover, connect and take action to make the world a better place.

By supporting annual Product Programs you will help provide girls with the opportunity to learn business, math, communication, self-esteem, goal setting, and teamwork skills that will help them throughout their lives. These programs are not about earning money, they contribute to the Girl Scout Program by adding another dimension to an already exciting and educational Girl Scout experience!

Remember, money earned during GSCB sponsored product stays locally to support the Girl Scout Program for over 12,500 girl and adult members!
