Adult volunteers after completing volunteer service of five year intervals.

Submit  appropriate form
to GSCB.

Green Angel Patch
and Certificate

For a volunteer in any role within the service unit or council.

Submit application to

Service Team.

Volunteer of Excellence

For a volunteer in any role within the service unit or council.

Submit application and 2 letters
of endorsement to Service Team.

Appreciation Pin

For volunteers actively giving outstanding service to at least one geographic

area or program delivery audience of service.

Submit nomination form and 2 letters of endorsement to GSCB.

Honor Pin

For volunteers actively giving outstanding service in 2 or more geographic areas.

Submit nomination form and 3 letters of endorsement to GSCB

Thanks Badge I &II

For volunteers actively giving service impacting the council or the entire
Girl Scout movement.

Submit nomination form and 4 letters of endorsement to GSCB

President’s Award

Recognizes the efforts of a service team, committee or volunteer team whose exemplary service in support of delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience surpasses team goals and results in a significant, measurable impact toward reaching the council’s overall goals.

Submit nomination form and 2 letters of endorsement to GSCB.

Friendship Medal

For individuals and councils who have enriched and leveraged the global understanding of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting to grow responsible global citizens. This prestigious national award is approved by the Girl Scouts of the USA National Board of Directors.

Submit GSUSA nomination form and 2 letters of endorsement to GSUSA Vice President of

Global Girl Scouting.  

Seagull Pin

For any registered adult with a pattern of consistent service which impacts the entire Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay council.

Applications for the Green Angel Patch, Years of Service Pin and Volunteer of Excellence Pin are processed by Volunteer Services. If all requirements are met, the award is authorized and may be presented at an appropriate service unit function. The Years of Service Pin (given in 5 year increments) is presented at the service unit level. The pin may be presented at the Annual Meeting to volunteers with 15 or more years of adult service.
